Duiker Research Corporation produces innovations in imagery for the motion picture and television industry. Leveraging dedicated engineering and support out of its homebase in California, Duiker Research Corporation supports its customers with a range of unique plug-ins, shaders, and applications that streamline visual effects and animation creation.
Haarm-Pieter Duiker founded the company following work as a technical developer on real-world film projects such as “The Matrix” sequels and “The Fantastic Four,” where his field experience spanned data capture, on-set photography, visual effects shot production and more. Tools he has created include solutions to challenges in rendering, lighting and film look emulation, and many of his custom shaders and utilities have been made available to the visual effects community via free download.
Duiker’s work has been patented and published, with papers and sketches featured at conferences such as SIGGRAPH. He has also been nominated for a Scientific and Technical Academy Award. Duiker holds a degree in Computer Science focusing on Computer Graphics from the University of California at Berkeley.
